Melissa Goodson, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the School of Business and Technology at The College of St. Scholastica, St. Paul campus where she teaches and develops courses for the MBA in Leadership & Change program. For over 12 years, she has worked in leadership roles in marketing communications, product management and strategic planning for media companies, including the Star Tribune, as well as a successful local cooperative. She has five years of teaching experience at a local community college, private college, and online. Her passion for internal and external customer relations has fueled her expertise in training sales teams and students to be more effective at building trust-based relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Her professional interests include brand management, leadership development and organizational culture. She serves on several academic committees for The College of St. Scholastica and sits on the Inver Hills Community College Business Advisory Board. She is a member of Minnesota Change Management Network, Team Women MN and the Association of Non-Traditional Students in Education. Melissa received her B.S. in Mass Communications from Minnesota State University – Mankato, MBA in Marketing from University of Phoenix and Ph.D. in Organization and Management from Capella University. In her personal time, Melissa enjoys playing with her toddlers, writing, running and exploring small businesses.
