    Presenter: Dr. David Jamieson, Chair of the Department of Organization Learning and Development at the University of St. Thomas.

    Dr. Jamieson has been actively involved in developing the theory and practice of OD. for nearly 40 years. He is highly regarded as a practitioner-scholar, author, educator and consultant.

     

    In this interactive session you will learn about:

    • Founding OD principles and practices and their relevance today
    • The "O" and the "D" in OD
    • How OD morphed into many different mainstream roles and practices
    • What's declining and what's growing within OD
    • Why organizations need OD now more than ever
    • What differentiates OD from other approaches to change
    • What we can do as practitioners and as representatives of the field

    Dr. Jamieson will discuss the value and importance of OD as a mindset, philosopy and approach to improving organizations, performance, work environments, and change. He will challenge participants to stand up, step up, and deliver results from what ever role they occupy.

     

    Dr. David Jamieson is Associate Professor and Department Chair, Organization Learning and Development, College of Applied Professional Studies at the University of St. Thomas. He is also President of the Jamieson Consulting Group, Inc. and Adjunct Professor in the M.S. Organization Development Program at American University/NTL. He has 40 years of experience consulting to organizations on leadership, change, strategy, design and human resource issues. He is Past National President of the American Society for Training and Development (1984) and Past Chair of the Management Consultant Division and Practice Theme Committee of the Academey of Management. He currently serves as Education Liaison for the OD Network.
